Privacy Policy

Scope and data controller

This Privacy Policy explains how the SABAIDISPEAK mobile application (“App”) handles personal data. The data controller is Guillaume BERTRAND, IT Services Bertrand, Cours des Bastions 13, 1205 Geneva, Switzerland (IDE CHE-301.086.655).

Data we collect

The App collects only:

• Email address, when you create or use your account.
• Password credentials, processed securely by Firebase Authentication. We do not receive or store your password in readable form.
• Marketing preference, meaning whether you have chosen to receive marketing communications.
• Technical data processed by Firebase, such as identifiers and network information required to authenticate you, secure the service, and operate the database.

How we use data

• To create, authenticate, secure, and administer your account.
• To store and apply your marketing preference.
• To send marketing communications only when you have consented.
• To provide support, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable law.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Legal bases

Account data is processed as necessary to provide the App and perform our agreement with you. Security-related processing is based on our legitimate interest in protecting the App and its users. Marketing is based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. Data may also be processed when required by law.

Service provider and data sharing

We use Google Firebase as our only application data service provider:

• Firebase Authentication processes your email address and password credentials for sign-in.
• Cloud Firestore stores the user record and marketing preference associated with your account.

Google acts as a service provider and may process technical information required to provide and secure these services. We require service providers receiving personal data to protect it consistently with this Policy and applicable law. Data may also be disclosed when legally required. International transfers are protected through legally recognized safeguards where required. See Firebase Privacy and Security.

Retention and account deletion

Account data and your marketing preference are retained while your account remains active. When you delete your account, the App deletes the associated Firestore user record and Firebase Authentication account. Limited information may be retained only when required by law, to resolve disputes, or to protect the service from fraud or abuse.

Delete your SABAIDISPEAK account and associated data. This procedure requires you to sign in again to confirm your identity and deletion request.

Your choices and rights

You may withdraw marketing consent at any time by changing the marketing preference in the App, where available, or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of your personal data. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner or your local supervisory authority. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections, Firebase access controls, authentication, and restricted administrative access. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, or under the higher minimum age required in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without valid parental authorization. If you believe a child provided data improperly, please contact us so it can be deleted.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when the App or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised version with a new “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required.
